PARENTS

  1. How do I choose a Carer?
    A carer is allocated by the Littlehubs team or you can choose one through the Littlehubs platform.

  2. How do I pay for a carer?
    The parent is not required to pay the carer in cash. All payments are managed through the platform.

  3. What is the minimum booking time/length?
    An arrangement can be booked for a minimum of three hours. We recommend that arrangements are for a minimum of three hours per day and ideally ten hours per week to ensure you get the full commitment from the carer.

  4. Do I need to provide a car for my carer?

    No, you don’t. If your carer is doing substantial driving we recommend that an additional allowance should be paid on top of their hourly rate.

  5. Do the ‘hub’ arrangements start are the same time each week?

    Yes – arrangements are ongoing and have the same start and finishing times so parents can plan accordingly around the care

  6. What happens if the carer is sick or doesn’t turn up?

    This situation rarely convenient, if this occurs we will do the best we can to source a relief carer for you. In the event where a relief carer cannot be sourced, the families have the option of canceling the hub for the day.

CARERS

  1. What happens if I can’t make it on the day?
    In this event, you will need to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. You will have the option to find a suitable replacement for yourself with another child carer who needs to be approved by Littlehubs beforehand.

  2. What First Aid training course should I complete?

    All child carers on the Littlehubs platform are required to have a current first aid certificate. You can get this through our partner CBD College First Aid, we recommend getting either:

  3. How do I obtain my Working with Children Check?

    You can receive a police check through the the New South Wales Office of the Children’s Guardian by by clicking here.

  4. What qualifications do I need to become a Littlehubs carer?

    You are required to have an up to date Working with Children and First Aid Certificate to be on the Littlehubs platform.

  5. How much will I earn?

    Single arrangements from $24 per hour or sharing arrangements are $27 per hour.
